    Diabetes is one of the leading causes of vision loss in the United States and disproportionately affects racial and ethnic minorities. Our panel of experts in ophthalmology, optometry, and primary care discuss the latest tools they’re using to help their most vulnerable patients. Join us in tackling the barriers to better vision care so that all patients receive the care and treatment they need.

    • Identify barriers that may prevent optimization of treatment for diabetic retinopathy (DR) and diabetic macular edema (DME) in vulnerable populations
    • Summarize recent clinical data on the efficacy and safety of new and emerging treatment options for DR and DME with a focus on improved durability
    • Discuss strategies for overcoming barriers to treatment optimization in vulnerable patients with DR or DME
    • Integrate treatment strategies to optimize vision outcomes and reduce treatment burden for patients with diabetic eye disease
  • Target Audience

    This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of ophthalmologists, optometrists, primary care physicians, and endocrinologists involved in the care and treatment of patients with diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema.
